Loretta will provide you with new patient paperwork. The paperwork will help Dr. Jones capture your overall health status and therefore aid him in providing you with the best treatment plan. You will discuss your needs and any concerns with Dr. Jones while in the treatment room.

You may be asked to lie on the treatment table in multiple positions based on your treatment needs. Your comfort is a priority at Laramie Spinal Care Center; you will always be clothed, adjusted privately, and provided with time to talk with Dr. Jones about your pain status.

During an adjustment you will likely hear joints making a natural ‘cracking’ sound; this is caused by the natural process of releasing nitrogen gas within the joint space.

It is completely normal to hear this, and is very safe.  Based on your health needs and treatment plan, you may require additional treatment options, all of which will be discussed with you by Dr. Jones.

Most soreness is quite minimal and does not last more than a few days. The reason that some people get soreness is that when a joint is manipulated, the range of motion of that joint is typically better which forces the muscles around the joint to work differently than they are used to.

It is similar to the soreness that you would experience after doing something physically active outside your normal routine, such as raking leaves or working out.
